Teach
I have known I wanted to be a teacher my entire life. When I was a fourth grader, I taught my first lesson, an art lesson, to a class of eighth graders. I studied elementary education at Drake University and graduated in 2013. I have been teaching sixth grade math at Waukee Middle School ever since.
Love
The people in my life are the most important to me. I value time with my friends and family. I am an introvert, but I prefer to spend my time with the people closest to me.
Give
I value my ability to give of myself to others. I seek to serve others in whatever ways I can. I love to volunteer in my church and in other organizations around the community.
Create
My hobby is to create. My year as a design editor for my high school yearbook sparked a love of design in me. I love crafts. My perfectionism can be a hindrance because my artistic talents do not match the design level in my head.
Experience
I love to experience the world around me in any ways that I can. I love to travel and visit new places. I have an endless list of places I would like to experience. The greatest experience of my life so far has been traveling to Ghana, Africa in 2013 to teach in a rural village school. I want to experience life for all that it has in store for me.
