State of the Chromebooks

Southwestern #1 is still missing! Because it is #1, it is likely that a teacher grabbed it from a cart they weren't using and "borrowed" it. We are guessing it is sitting in someone's room under a pile of papers. Please keep an eye out for it!

In Case You Missed it- New Guardian Gateway for Parents is Coming!

The following was sent out in "The Beat" earlier today.

Frisco ISD is making it easier for guardians to find key information about their students through a new portal called the Guardian Gateway. The Guardian Gateway was created and designed based on feedback from parents who were looking for an easier and secure way to access information for multiple children within one platform.

Guardians should be on the lookout for information that will come via email starting January 15 to begin the sign-up process. Soon, guardians will be able to view multiple children within one HAC account, access STAAR scores and find regular important updates all in one place. We look forward to sharing the portal and appreciate everyone’s patience during the Districtwide rollout. A set of Frequently Asked Questions has been created for guardians to reference as needed.

If you use PC Laptops with Students READ THIS!

Please make sure students take all the time to shut down the computer completely before they close the lid. We have found that when this is NOT done, the computers lose internet connectivity. Which means you will have to wait on Gobeli to bring her handy dandy ethernet cable to your room and connect laptops one at a time and fix them so that you can use them.

Mirror your device to your projector

Interested in mirroring your device (phone, Chromebook, macbook, PC laptop, tablet) to your teacher computer so you can project it? Please let Victoria and I know and we will get you set up with the appropriate license and information.

1:1 Information Meetings

I am in the process of trying to schedule meetings with PLCs who teach all Freshman classes. If you got that email from me about scheduling a time to meet, please go ahead and do that as soon as possible.

Thank you!
