High School Musical Success
The students in Mr. McKinney's Drama program at West Nassau High School had an outstanding production of High School Musical. Congratulations to everyone that participated!
Math Coming to Life
Ms. Spung, from Yulee Middle School, had her 6th-grade math classes apply their math concepts to complete group projects. The students formed their teams and picked their project, which could have been to build a theme park, do a playground makeover, take a trip to Orlando on a $3,000 budget, or design a swimming pool. Students used math skills, such as determining area, perimeter, and volume or to determine what geometric shapes would be part of their theme park or playground. All of this was intended to remind the students that math is all around them!
Read&Write in Action
Mrs. Crews, from Emma Love Hardee, recently completed a professional development activity about Read&Write. She immediately incorporated it into her classroom. Her students used the tool, combined with Google Classroom and Google Docs, to complete a recall activity over their science unit. Nice work, Mrs. Crews!
