A note to Falcon Families, from PTSA President, Stephanie Klapheke
Hello, Falcon Families!
My name is Stephanie Klapheke, and I’m the current Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) president at Quail Hollow Middle School. I’m reaching out to you to ask for your support. The PTSA at QHMS really wants to expand the participation in our PTSA and to include parents and guardians from all of our feeder schools. To that end, I’d like to invite you to get involved with the QHMS PTSA . We are beginning to plan for the 2019-2020 school year, and would love to include our incoming families in that process!
I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the PTSA or volunteer opportunities; my email address is a217702@gmail.com. You can also reach out to our VP of School Support and Nominating Committee Chair Shelly Tuttle, especially if you are interested in serving on the Board or on a specific committee; her email address is shelleyjtuttle@gmail.com. The School Leadership Team (SLT) is also actively looking for incoming parent involvement; as a member of that team, I can also connect you with that group if you would like to learn more.
Thank you in advance for considering sharing your valuable time with the PTSA and the SLT. We look forward to building partnerships with your family as you transition into middle school.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Klapheke

QHMS Wish List
The PTSA has created an online "wish list" via SignUp Genius to fill different needs at Quail. This link will stay open YEAR ROUND; we'll add to it as items benefiting the whole school are requested by staff. This is an easy way to support the Hollow with things like band-aids for the nurse's office, tissues and hand sanitizer, grade-level work/supply room items, and other needs.
We encourage you to continue to check in with your student’s teachers for individual classroom needs; those individual requests will not be included on the school-wide wish list.
PLEASE visit this link as often as you are able and SHARE with other QHMS families!
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0C4DAAAC3-qhms
- Click on the link.
- Sign up for a slot (take note of a deadline IF one is listed).
- Buy the item and send it into school within 1 week of signing up for it online.
- Drop off in the front office, where we've set up a PTSA donation box. The PTSA board will then distribute.
- THANK YOU and happy shopping!! ;)
Don’t forget: If you shop for these items through Amazon, do it with Amazon Smile! Amazon Smile donates a % of purchases to QHMS! You can even have them shipped directly to Quail!
Safety Kit Wish List
In light of tragedies across the nation and in our own school district, Quail Hollow Middle School staff have engaged in both Active Survivor Training with a CMPD officer and begun to engage in regularly scheduled tabletop drills with our School Resource Officer. The safety of our students is our number one priority and we will continue to collaborate with experts to help us be prepared in the best way possible. In collaborating with experts, we also learned about the opportunity to equip each classroom with a Safety Kit. The School Leadership Team's safety committee is seeking the help of Falcon Families to help secure items for these kits. If you can help, check out the Amazon Wish List here.
