Challenge Day Rescheduled for Friday, May 5th
Reminder: We will need all hands on deck and wouldn't want anyone to miss out on seeing the amazing smiles and fun on our students and parents faces! I know the reschedule may mean some of you have IEP meetings that can't be rescheduled, if this is the case, then make sure to sign up for a room at TJHS for your time slot HERE

ESY classes have been formed.
Hi team!
ESY classes have been formed and staffing is being completed for students on the spreadsheet you all completed by last Friday HERE:spreadsheet.
IF you have students that you do not have on the spreadsheet above. Please add them to the bottom of the list AND email me, Nancy Newton and Jamie Ballard ASAP. I have added a comments section if the student was ARDed for ESY but parents have indicated they are not going to attend, you can put the students name with cross throughs and add in comments, parents declined.
You can also add if not ARDed yet and anticipated ARD date, so we can plan accordingly. We should know of all students that are anticipated for ESY by today. Thank you!
As always this is an ARD committee decision, but please make sure we know of any that school based members will be recommending.
Employee Student Transfers...
Tomball ISD employees who already have a student on a current Employee Student Transfer must complete a transfer renewal application every school year.
RENEWAL applications for the 2023-2024 school year may be completed beginning Monday, April 3, 2023 through Monday, April 24, 2023.
Any late applications submitted after April 24, 2022, will automatically default to “Denied”.
All RENEWAL applications must be completed through the Tomball ISD LINK portal.
You will need to upload your current proof of residency and your identification.
If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to student services@tomballisd.net (CC'd in this message).
** Please remember that an Employee Student Transfer can be revoked at anytime throughout the school year. Attendance, tardies, early pick-up, academics, and behavior will be closely monitored by campus administration. **
THIS IS JUST FOR EMPLOYEE STUDENT RENEWALS.
WE HAVE WILL A LATER DATE WHEN WE WILL BE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR NEW EMPLOYEE STUDENT APPLICATIONS AT A LATER TIME.
A Note from Transportation for ESY
A reminder to mark all supplements as pending even if they are not making any “changes”, because transportation goes in and updates if ESY is marked on our lista. The campus for the following school year gets updated on transportation departments list as well so that they have a backup list to use for the following school year. We want to make sure all students show up to the correct campuses for ESY AND the first day of school.
2023-2024 Staffing / Program Placements
EEA will house all PK and PKCollab classrooms from the north and west side of our district. This includes all ECSE programs currently housed at those campuses. The zoned schools for the EEA PK and ECSE are: TCES, CFES, CES, TES, RES, DPES, GOES. This would include all 3 year olds zoned to those campuses and ECSE SLL (district program) as well.
LES will host full day PK Collab programming and continue to have a 3 year old 1/2 day ECSE program. WES will continue to house 1/2 day PK and 1/2 day ECSE programming for WES, and WCES 3-4 year old students.
Please make sure you are updating any changes for next years campus on your transportation supplements and IEPS.
Please review Cross Talk Slides or reach out to your student support specialist (or me) if you have any questions.

Eileen Garza, Thank you for all the support and resources you provide for everyone
Can’t celebrate OT Month without celebrating the great accomplishments of our very own Dr. Eileen Garza. As a nationally recognized leader in the fields of occupational therapy and assistive technology, Dr. Garza is a highly sought after contributor to product development in both fields. Just this year she has been a top advisor to the new developments with word prediction and text-to-speech components being expanded through Don Johnson, Inc. She is also an expert contributor to organizations such as the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, the Texas Technology Access Project, and the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America just to name a few. Her global work with university programs in occupational therapy and as a senior consultant to Pearson Education only tells part of her story as a servant leader. The Tomball ISD is very blessed to have her in the district. She has developed a model program of assistive technology services in the district. Sometimes when we see such smooth and helpful skill, we assume this is how it is everywhere. It is not. Dr. Garza is an exceptional professional talent. Happy OT Month Dr. Garza, and thank you for your years of service in the Tomball ISD, your exemplary professionalism, and your grace.
Shout out to Rosmari Boyrie to come to help us with a last-minute assessment even though she is super busy. She always says anything to help our students to be successful in school. Thank you Rosmari! We appreciate your hard work and dedication to our students.
