AVA Family Update
December 8, 2023
Good morning AVA Students and Families,
I have next week's schedule, our guidance updates, and community notices linked below as usual.
I hope everyone has had a chance to review the Trimester 1 report cards published in Aspen on Wednesday. If you have been unable to access anything, or have questions about grades, please email me. For all students who are experiencing academic difficulties, you and your families will be hearing from me next week about meeting to discuss our options.
As we head into holiday season, it is important for students to keep plugging away, as this is a time of year where academics often slip a bit.
In other news, you may notice in the Important Dates section below that parent conferences take place in January. You will be hearing from me after the break about how to sign up to meet your child's teachers and discuss their progress.
Thank you for your time.

Guidance Updates
Driver's Ed
A few students have lately been asking about signing up for driver's ed. classes at AHS. For AVA Students and families interested in driver's ed classes, please visit the TDA website HERE to learn more about signing up for such classes.
NCAA Registration
Kind reminder: students and families who are interested in participating in collegiate sports through the NCAA. Please register online at the Eligibility Center website (linked HERE) sooner than later. Although you may register even after high school graduation, we strongly recommend doing so while still enrolled in high school to ensure a smoother transfer of school records and information. AVA's CEEB code for NCAA registration is: 220067.

Massachusetts State Universities - Info Slidedeck
For any AVA seniors and families thinking of applying to colleges in Massachusetts, HERE is a wonderful condensed slideshow was very useful information on each of the MA state public universities. State public universities generally have much lower tuition costs than private ones, so we encourage students and families to read and learn as much as possible to inform your decisions.
As always, please email me at nng@attleboroschools.com with any comments, suggestions, and concerns, or to make a virtual meeting appointment. Have a safe and dry weekend!
