2023-24 STUDENT COURSE RECOMMENDATIONS

The student course recommendations go live for viewing on May 8th at 9 A.M. and will remain open until May 12th at 5:00 P.M. Upon reviewing your student’s course recommendations, if you would like for the Liberty team to take a second look at your child’s course level, please visit Liberty’s website to complete the Course Change Consideration Form. This form will close on May 12th at 5:00 P.M. These requests may be granted based on student performance data. Our goal is to ensure that every student at Liberty is scheduled for the courses that best meet their academic needs.

DEADLINE FOR MISSING ASSIGNMENTS

Please know that our teachers work tirelessly to give students every opportunity to be successful in their class endeavors. In many cases, these efforts include opportunities to complete missing assignments, remediation experiences, and re-assessment of certain content or skills. Our staff is very gracious in these practices, but there comes a point in each semester where teachers need time to complete the grading of assignments in order to post year-end grades. Therefore, please be aware of Liberty's deadline for missing assignments and assessments: Monday, May 22nd.

Please understand that most failing grades right now are caused by incomplete or missing work. Teachers can't assess what is not turned in. We must have work completed to give students the most accurate feedback in their progress on the content, skills, and standards as we approach the end of the school year.

There are a few opportunities we have in place that can assist with the completion of necessary assignments. Friday Academy has been very successful in providing students time to complete missing work on Friday afternoons from 4:15 - 6:00. If you are interested in having your student attend, please reach out to your child’s teacher to make arrangements. There is also time built in to PT each week for students to study and/or get caught up on assignments. Furthermore, morning help sessions can be scheduled with teachers.

Please check your student's progress in Parent Portal and support them in completing any outstanding assignments.

DO YOU KNOW A FORMER GRADUATE WHO IS GRADUATING?

Please share the word about our Class of 2023 Patriot Walk. See details in the graphic below.
