Small Group News

Math - Small Group

We are starting our fractions unit. We are beginning with finding equivalent fractions. Continue to practice your multiplication and division facts. You can play games off of eclass, math war with a deck of cards and create your flashcards.

Reading - Small Group

We will be starting a new reading unit that goes along with our writing unit about the American Revolutionary War. Students will be learning ways to pull information in passage to use as research.

We are starting back up with our reading logs. As a 4th grader the expectation is 80 minutes per week. This time can include reading homework that has been assigned, reading stories on Reading A-Z, and reading a book of their choice. I am checking reading logs on Monday for the previous week.

Writing - Small Group

We will be starting our informational unit about topics of the American Revolution. The students will be researching the topic and creating informational essays about that topic. This unit requires homework most nights during the week and some Fridays.
