Kindergarten Weekly Update
November 13-17, 2023
What's New:
Hello,
I hope everyone had a relaxing and long weekend! I know I said I would only do a newsletter every other week, but this week we have a lot of important dates and reminders!
For homework, there is a small typo. It says the Word Family is "-in", it is "-it". In ELA, we are working on the letters "Ww", "Jj", and "Ee", and rhyming words in poems. In math, we are working on addition. In science, we are continuing with all things matter.
If you still would like for your child to attend the field trip, we have decided to extend the window for payment until the end of this week. Below, I will be adding the new updated list of students currently attending.
The kindergarten team would like to do a "Friendsgiving" for each kindergarten class on Thursday after recess. If anyone is able to donate non-opened food items (so we can check ingredients for allergies), or a gift card (Visa or Publix please), us and the kids would gladly appreciate it! If you have any questions, concerns, or do not want your child to attend please reach out so we can accommodate. Any food or money donated would go toward volunteer hours!
Our Shilling party is this Wednesday and I am pleased to announce that EVERY SINGLE student has accumulated enough shillings through good deeds and completing classwork to attend, so please make sure your scholar is here this Wednesday to attend as there are no makeups! (However, I can give the shillings back if your child is not here.)
Progress Reports will be sent home Friday--one copy is to be returned signed and the other is yours to keep. I have been updating grades, so double-check PowerSchool as most grades have gone up since I am trying to catch up on absences and missed work.
Reminders:
-11/14 Family Learning Fair 4:30-5:30 after school (see attached flyer)
-11/15 Canned food drive ends & Shilling party
-11/16 Friendsgiving Feast
-11/17 Progress Reports sent home
Thank you,
Ms. Mace
