Chat Questions
Research shows that happiness can be a choice. If that is so, how do we make these "choices" in the midst of daily reality.
Q1: Research shows that "letting go", not sweating the small stuff, is an important behavior in choosing happiness. What do you need to "let go" of in order to focus on what is important to you?
Q2: Loneliness is a greater health risk than smoking! What close or strong personal relationships keep you connected?
Q3: Volunteering gives you a sense of purpose and can improve your mood. What volunteer work do you do? If you are not yet volunteering, what would interest you?
Q4: Returning to activities of your childhood can bring recall of happy memories. What childhood activity do you still do? Of, what childhood activity would you like to do again?
Q5: Money can't buy happiness, but how you spend your money can. What "experience" have you invested in, or want to invest in?
Q6: Happiness and exercise feed each other in a continuous cycle. How do you incorporate exercise regularly in your routine? If you don't, how could you begin?
Q7: Connecting with other people who are facing similar problems remind you that you are not alone. How can educators support one another?
7a: What support would you like from your administrative team (building and district).
Bonus: #MichED is you! The team is planning future chats and events. What topics would you like to discuss? Are you interested in facilitating? What face-to-face activities would you enjoy?
