Eagles Soar To Excellence In All We Do!
The mission of Giesinger Elementary is to ensure high levels of learning to facilitate continuous growth of the whole child.
We envision a school in which staff provide a safe, caring, and positive learning community for all children; create a collaborative culture among children, families and staff; establish high levels of learning by frequently monitoring student progress; and demonstrate a personal commitment to the academic success and general well-being of each child .
2014 National Blue Ribbon School
From Mrs. Ralston
Due to the increase in COVID cases, Conroe ISD moved to a Safety Alert Level 4. At Level 4, we will not have our lunch visitors, Watch Dogs, or other visitors in our building.
We are limiting large gatherings, transitioning to more virtual meetings, and implementing enhance cleaning protocols. Please know, that with this strand, the district anticipates a peak in the next few days with a drastic drop in cases over the next week to two weeks. I will continue to keep our families updated with COVID general notification and classroom letters.
Please continue to check the Roadmap to Remaining Open found on the Conroe ISD website. The link is also included below.
Change in COVID Absences:
The Texas Department of Health and Human Services did not approve a change that was anticipated regarding students that are symptomatic or test positive for COVID. The rule is now when a student tests positive or is symptomatic, he/she must be out for 10 calendar days prior to returning to school. This will be the guideline beginning Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Sorry for the change and confusion.
Please continue to pre-screen your child before sending them to school each day. If they are having any COVID symptoms then we ask that you keep them at home. Refer to the District's "Can My Child Go To School Today" flow chart below. You may also call Nurse Corbit if you are unsure.
At Giesinger Elementary, we strive to create a school in which staff provide a safe, loving and positive learning experience for everyone. We are glad you are here!
Thank you for your continuing support. Eagles Soar to Excellence In All We Do!
