Season of Service
2014
Seeking God for our City this Lenten Season
Today, Christians around the globe are beginning to observe this year's Lent Season with prayer, repentance and a change in personal routine in order to engage in intentional intimacy with God. Serve Sacramento, along with many other area prayer groups, ministry leaders, and faith communities will be spending these 40 days in united prayer for our city with the help of the WayMakers prayer guide called Seek God for the City 2014. We would like to invite you to join us these next few days as we seek God for the Greater Sacramento area. You can get Seek God 2014 as an app on your tablet or smartphone for just 99 cents.
Stories of service: Letters of Encouragement
We were so encouraged to see young people from about 17 different churches thoughtfully write 100 cards to people who tend to be marginalized and are in need of encouragement and love. Serve Sacramento will give these cards to local organizations who will deliver them to the people they serve.
this month's theme: workforce development & job creation
