A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
November 2018
Dear Bailey Lake Families,
It’s the time of year we reflect on the the people and material things we tend to take for granted. This often takes form in acknowledging things in which we are grateful. According to Psychology Today, “Gratitude is an emotion expressing appreciation for what one has—as opposed to, for instance, a consumer-driven emphasis on what one wants or thinks they need.” Showing gratitude can have lasting effects on one’s physical and psychological health. It can produce better relationships, increase mental stamina, provide better sleep, and improve self esteem. Consider reaping these benefits by expressing your gratitude to those that impact your life. Write a note, send a text, make a phone call- it may change the way you feel and respond to those around you.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Principal
