The Hunt for the Mystery Elements
PS1.5 Properties of the Periodic Table
The Lost Journal of Dmitri Mendeleev
Your mission is to use this journal entry to organize each element you find with your archaeological team before someone else does! These discoveries could have world-wide impact if a new element is discovered. This could change the way we see the world forever!
Good luck and remember . . . this is a vital scientific and historic discovery so keep your research and findings top secret until you find someone you can trust to share them with!

Task 1: Archaeological Dig
"Dig" up all 5 of these items. Once you have found all 5 items, you may move on to task 2.
Task 2: Organize Your Mystery Elements
When you are done with your initial organization, record your ideas on your "Expedition Log".
Task 3: Combine Ground-Breaking Findings
You must now combine your ideas with your "Trusted Partners". Based on this other group's findings, you will have to reorganize your mystery elements. Your goal is to find a way to organize all 10 mystery elements in a way that makes sense!
This is going to take some bravery, tenacity, and grit, but the future of our scientific community depends on you . . . don't let us down!
Make sure you record your "Trusted Partners" and new organization you all come up with on your "Expedition Log" so you have a record of your work - you don't want another scientist to take credit for the work YOU completed!
Task 4: Present Findings to the Historic Scientific Society for Elemental Discoveries Convention (HSSED)
Using your "Expedition Log" you, your team, and your trusted partner's team, must prepare to present your findings to the convention of historians and scientists. Make sure you explain your organization and what elements you think you have discovered!
This is a great honor and accomplishment so congratulations! You have done a fantastic job so far and I cannot wait to see the praise you receive from the convention members!
