ATHLETICS THIS WEEK

FRESHMAN GIRLS BASKETBALL

Our freshman girls lost a high-intensity battle Tuesday night to TimberCreek with a final score of 30 - 33.

The game was back and forth all night with several lead changes and explosive offensive positions, but the clock wasn't our friend at the end and we just didn't have time to catch up. Lisa Kerich and Jaylin Wilson each produced 10 points a piece for us offensively, with Zoey Herring, Adraiya Hill, and Addyson Williams also chipping in with a few buckets a piece and owning the defensive rebounds.

The ladies will look to bounce back Friday night as we take on Harwood here at BJH, starting at 4:30. We'd love to see the stands packed for this rivalry game!

8TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL

The 8th grade Lady Broncos competed against Cross Timbers Middle School Thursday night at home.

The B team played a great offensive game, passing the ball, and finding the open teammate! The girls put on the full court pressure to try and catch up, but fell short in the end. Landry Medialdea led the team with 8 points, followed by Danika Lambert with 3. Defensive players of the game were Crista Lopez, Haley Bedlington, and Adeline Attaguile. The girls look to come out with the W next Thursday against Colleyville Middle School.

The A team played a hard-fought and scrappy game last night. The girls led the game from the beginning with full court pressure. Chairman of the boards last night were Mia Easter-Clark Talia Soliai-Tui, Hailer Blocker-Smith, and Reagan Ingram. Huge defensive stops made by Jazz Williams, Kenslee Turner, Mia Williams, Tia Iafeta, MuRae Horn, and Madeline Dean. The girls look to continue their undefeated season next week! Great job Lady Broncos!

7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL

7th grade girls A team took care of business Monday night against Cross Timbers winning 43-9. Leading the way was Reagan Bennet with 13 points, Genesis Morales with 8 points, Sariyah Crater with 8 points, Jillian Smith with 4 points and Kynlee, London and Sydney all scoring 2 points each. Defense was all over the place holding Cross Timbers scoreless through the first quarter. Great job ladies.

8TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL

Thursday night the 8th grade Mens’ Basketball team played Cross Timbers.

B team played started out slow throughout the first 3 quarters with Cross Timbers taking a 26 to 15 lead heading into the 4th quarter. In the end your Broncos came up short after fighting hard to gain the lead. The final score was 29 to 25. Players of the game were Channing Humphry and Dom Williams.

A team played next against a solid Cross Timbers team. The Broncos fought hard all game and had a commanding lead until the 4th quarter when Crosstimbers closed the gap. The Broncos held on and sealed the victory with a score of 51-49 over Crosstimbers.

BEDFORD GYMNASTICS

8TH GRADE BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

The BJH 8th grade boys XC team competed in the cross country meet hosted by Carroll Junior High at Bob Jones Park in Southlake, TX, on 11/29/22. The team was represented well and were able to have some competitive runners that led the pack for the BJH. The 8th grade boys had more runners participate in this meet than in the previous meet. Many runners were able to improve on the personal best times. The meet featured over 200 runners in the race.

The team was led by runners Derek Mathews, Dominick Williams, Joseph Roach, Gavin Roberson, and Pierce Renfro. Overall, the team as a whole, performed really well.

The 8th grade boys have 2 remaining meets to run in and will represent BJH in the upcoming HEB ISD junior high XC meets in the next week.

The BJH 7th grade Boys XC team was involved in the Carroll Junior High meet at Bob Jones Park in Southlake, Tx on 11/29/22. They did a good job of going out and competing against some strong teams and were able to have some runners that placed really well out of over 200 runners in the field.
