D103 Offers Free Lunches to ALL Students
We are excited to offer a free nutritious lunch to every student at Lincolnshire D103 thanks to the Summer Food Service Program from USDA, a federally funded program! Through December 31, 2020 there is no charge for school lunches provided by Quest Food Management Services.
In-Person Learning Lunch Program
We encourage all families to take advantage of the free lunch program. In-person learning parents do not need to sign up for the free school lunch program. Each child coming into school will receive one of the lunches described on the lunch menu. (Students who attend school half day at Sprague will not eat lunch at school but may participate in the remote lunch program described below.)
Beginning Wednesday, October 7, District 103 will offer EVERY child a free meal. We encourage families to take advantage of this program rather than send in a lunch from home. Children attending school on Monday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 6, should bring a lunch from home.
We recognize that some students may require a vegetarian or gluten friendly diet and we will accommodate those needs. Please fill out the Dietary Needs Form for special consideration. Quest Food Management makes every attempt to identify allergens in our food production. We do not use peanuts or tree nuts in our kitchen. Please be advised that our menu items may contain allergens, may have come in contact with items containing allergens, and there is always a risk of contamination or cross-contamination. There is also a possibility that manufacturers of the commercial foods we use could change the formulation or substitute at any time, without notice.
Remote Learning Lunch Program
Students under 18-years-old who are attending school from home are invited to receive weekly lunches through the Summer Food Service Program. Meals are similar to those provided to students who eat lunch at school. Remote families will be asked to fill out a D103 Google form if they are interested in picking up meals at a D103 school each week. Look for information on the remote learning lunch program sometime next week.

Understand how to find a healthy balance with technology during this time:
• How to coach your child's technology use rather than to control it
• How parents and caregivers can support their children’s uses of technology to
connect, create and learn
• What digital platforms and apps are appropriate (or not) for elementary and middle
school kids
• Navigating the news cycle
