Neutrinos and Solar System

Have you ever wondered about the solar system, and what is in it? Or are there particles smaller than an atom? I am going to be doing this presentation on Neutrinos and the solar system. The benefits of this project is learning about how there are subatomic particles going through out body every second of the day, and learning more about the solar systems planets. One of my favorite things that I learned about on this project is that there is tons upon tons of solar dust from the sun and exploded stars all over space, that are not seeable by the human eye.

Neutrinos

The benefits of this project is learning about how there are subatomic particles going through out body every second of the day, and learning more about the solar systems planets. One of my favorite things that I learned about on this project is that there is tons upon tons of solar dust from the sun and exploded stars all over space, that are not seeable by the human eye.


Sun

The sun plays a major role in the solar system. The sun gives earth a majority of its energy and also is reason we are still on earth. Without the sun earth would basically be a huge ice orb that just floats around randomly in no orbit. Thirty thousand years ago when sun was basically just the core is when earth started warming up, and evolving, that was also around the time earth started getting energy from the sun. There are endless amounts of stars in space, but one of the biggest stars we know of is the sun. Every single planet in our solar system orbits around this star, including dwarf planets, moons, and many other things.

The Moon(s)

The Moon is very interesting. When we think of ‘our’ moon it isn’t the only one in the solar system, and this is true there is an estimated 336 moons in the solar system. Saturn’s largest moon is named Titan, it is the only moon known to have a dense atmosphere.Neptune’s largest moon, Triton, is similar in size to Earth’s moon, it was discovered in 1846 it is the seventh largest moon in the Solar System. The largest moon of the dwarf planet Pluto is named Charon, it was discovered in 1978 and has a diameter that is around half as wide as Pluto’s. Mars has two moons named Phobos and Deimos, both were discovered in 1877.Venus and Mercury have no moons that have been recorded by satellite, so when it is night time there you can not see anything.

Pluto

Pluto has been considered a planet for year, but in 2009 it made headlines that is was no longer consider a planet, but a dwarf planet by the International Astronomical Union. While some people agreed with the new terms for a planet, others did not. There were arguments all over the world about this, but when NASA adjusted the terms so everyone would be happy most of the arguments stopped.

Conclusion

From doing this project I have learned that there are more planets out there besides the ones that we know of. The benefits of this project would be learning about what's in outer space. I hope you have learned a lot during this presentation, and thanks for watching!
