John Barclay Sign "Makeover"

If anyone has noticed that the John Barclay school sign looks refreshed and repainted-that's because it is! Sincere appreciation goes out to Mr. Mayer for sprucing up the Barclay sign so it can last for a number of years to come. Meticulous work like this is more complicated than it seems-so thank you. It looks great!

Kathryn Otoshi visits Barclay

Students enjoyed hearing the message that author/illustrator Kathryn Otoshi had to share about character building. They were encouraged to be confident in who they are as individuals. Kids were also challenged to make positive choices to support their peers while at the same time resist anyone who wants to send negative messages to others. Thank you for such a good message, Kathryn!

Barclay Health Room News

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your precious children back to school. My name is Randi Semanoff RN (Nurse Randi) and I am your Certified School Nurse. I am at Barclay on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. On the days that I am not here my staff nurses will be in the office. Beth Segal-Schubert, ( Nurse Beth) is here on Monday and Tuesday, and Pam McPeak RN ( Nurse Pam ) is here Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are all looking forward to caring for your children this year. I have started the state mandated screening program (vision, hearing, height and weight) . Please be sure to let me know if there has been any change in your child's health status over the summer.

Plastic ware and Napkins for lunches

If your child brings a packed lunch to school, please be certain to also include the necessary plastic utensil and napkin (plastic spoon for yogurt, plastic fork for salad, etc.). They need to be fully ready to enjoy the delicious and nutritious lunch that parents pack for them each day. Thank you!

Message from CB South Athletic Director, Danielle Turner:

Students in grades 1-8 who plan on attending any CB South sporting events must be accompanied by an adult for entry into games. Any student who is not accompanied by an adult, will not be permitted to attend the game even with a ticket purchase.
