A Day of Dwyer - A Huge Success
Last Saturday, Dwyer took over Pacific City and it was a huge success! Hundreds of families came out to celebrate the history of Dwyer and enjoy a day in sunshine. There were wonderful performances by the band, orchestra, solo singers, and strolling a Capella groups. Mrs. Glembocki met many families as she walked around the mall too.
One of the many highlights of the day was the historical art wall displayed by Miss Radcliffe and her students. There were 40 canvases painted with acrylic to showcase the history of Huntington Beach and Dwyer. Students chose photographs dating back to 1903, when Dwyer was named Pacific City Grammar School. Soon, these works of art of will be displayed in our main hall. It is so fabulous to see the Dwyer Pride of our rich history!

Going to the Championships
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Boy's Soccer Team! On Thursday, they beat Costa Mesa in the semi-finals and will play Tewinkle in the championship game on Tuesday.
Circles Everywhere
Mrs. Bhagat's 7th graders were hard at work learning about circles. Students took notes on circumference, diameter, and area and then applied their knowledge to problems on ALEKS.
Area Band Concert
It was a packed house in the Dwyer Auditorium on Thursday night for the Area Band Concert. Students from Seacliff, Perry, Smith, Dwyer, and HBHS all came together to showcase their amazing musical talents. The night ended with a grand finale of all the bands playing together. As you can see, they were even playing in the aisles!
