Positive Raiders: Responsible, Respectful, Hard Working and Kind
This week’s Positive Message...Thank you to everyone who supported the 2019 Fall Fest. What a great event! Each and every dollar goes to support our classrooms and school. Thank you again!

The first step toward that program is offering a Mandarin after school enrichment program. The parent registration form link is below. You can sign up for one trimester, two days per week. Each session is 1 hour. The start date is October 14. Classes will be Mondays and Wednesdays. Sign up now! We have a few spots still open for the first session.

Parent University: “The Adolescent Brain” Please join us on October 23rd and November 6th (6-7:30pm) for an incredibly informative presentation on adolescent brain development. This presentation will be hosted at Meadowbrook Middle School by the counselors from BMMS and MBMS. Learn about how your teenagers current brain development controls their emotions and executive functioning skills; the impact of growth vs fixed mindset; and helpful coaching strategies to help your teen thrive through adolescence and beyond. This workshop is for parents and teens who are doing well already and those who are struggling. Childcare is also available. Please sign up at this google doc to attend the workshop.
National School Lunch Week: The Board of Education approved a resolution recognizing the week of October 14 through October 18, 2019, as National School Lunch Week (NSLW). This year’s theme is School Lunch: What’s on Your Playlist. This theme is designed to spotlight how today’s school nutrition centers are serving menu items that kids want to eat with more choices and customization. Please join the School Board and me in recognizing that children who eat nutritious meals are more attentive in class, score higher on standardized tests, and are healthier than those children who do not eat nutritious meals. Thank you very much.
Thanks again for all you do to support our school,
Scott Corso

No Pets Allowed
Reminder: Dogs and other pets are not allowed on campus. Service animals are welcome. While it’s nice to take your dogs out for a walk when walking to and from school, please leave them at home or arrange to meet your student off campus. Arrival and dismissal is a very busy time, and we want to ensure safety for everyone. We also have students and others who are afraid of dogs. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Attendance Hotline it's 24/7
If you need to pick your child up prior to the end of the school day, please call the Attendance Office - specify the time you will pick them up, so the we can have them in the office waiting for you. This will prevent delays for you (such as trying to find your child while he/she is running in PE) and will help minimize interruptions to the classroom.
