New Applicants of the 2021-22 School Year

The MSD Preschool Program Welcomes You!

Our goal is to provide high-quality preschool education for every child in Morristown and Morris Township. In collaboration with district administrators and partner preschool site directors, we strive to ensure that every child has a strong foundation and can reach their full potential in all areas of development.

Next Steps for Applicants for the Preschool Registration 2021-22

  1. Week of April 26th: New families will receive a placement letter. If you have a current 3-year-old in the program, they will automatically roll up and attend the same school.
  2. Week of May 3rd and May 10th: All preschool partner sites will have virtual and/or an in-person open house. See below for information on each site.
  3. May 16th: Families must accept or decline the placement offered to their child.

Health Documents

The following health documents must be submitted prior to the first day of school:
  • Physical Exam dated after 9/1/20
  • Current Immunization Record
  • Allergy or Medication Needs
  • Proof of dental visit within 6 months of the first day of school

Documents can be sent in advance to the nurse indicated in your placement letter.

Open House

Our preschool partner sites will host open houses the week of May 3rd and/or the week of May 10th. In-district preschools at LLC, Hillcrest, and Alfred Vail will host opportunities in the summer months for in-person tours. Below is a short introduction to each site, including links to websites, pre-recorded video tours, and details regarding in-person tours.

Strict CDC COVID-19 state guidelines will be followed during in-person tours. All visitors will be required to wear a mask, limits will be set on the number of people attending, appointments are required, times of tours will be limited, and COVID-19 screeners will be required before entry.

The Richard F. Blake Center

Founded in 1988, the Richard F. Blake Children's Center was one of the first full-day child care centers in Morris County. From 6 weeks to preschool age, the Richard F. Blake Children's Center offers quality care for your child in a safe and nurturing environment. The Richard F. Blake Children's Center has been reaccredited five times by NAEYC. Angela's Place

Opened in September 2020 for the 2020-2021 school year, Angela's Place is managed and operated by the Greater Morristown YMCA and is located at 6 Saddle Road in Cedar Knolls.

The Children’s Corner Child Care Center

From 6 weeks to preschool age, the Children’s Corner Child Care Center offers Atlantic Health employees quality care for their child in a safe and nurturing environment. Morristown Neighborhood House Preschool

Welcome to the Morristown Neighborhood House Preschool Program, located at 12 Flagler St, Morristown. We are committed to giving our children the best education as we create an environment where they can explore, gain a sense of self, play with peers, and build self-confidence. Head Start Community Program of Morris County

Head Start is a four-star rated Grow NJ Kids program that provides high-quality preschool for children from low-income families. Lafayette Learning Center Preschool

Lafayette Learning Center Preschool is located at 31 Hazel Street in Morristown and serves resident children between the ages of 3 and 5 with an experience that allows all children to grow and develop in all areas of development and learning. At the LLC Preschool, we have seven classes that are built on an inclusive community, with a variety of activities tailored to all students with or without disabilities. In addition, we have two specialized classes for students with disabilities who receive intensive ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and/or specialized preschool instruction.
