ADMINISTRATION UPDATE
Dear CCS Families,
It was so wonderful to see so many of our students as we “hung out” with various classes this week! Without a doubt, seeing their faces and hearing their voices filled a lot of hearts up with happiness throughout the week. They are AMAZING! And, parents - we see you too! We see you beside your children, helping them navigate these new paths and problem-solving the glitches along the way. If there was ever an important time for us to recognize the valuable home-school partnerships we share, it is now! Thank you for your support and communication as we work through challenges and celebrations together.
Our hope for all families during the next week is that you’re able to disconnect from technology a bit to relax, rejuvenate and relish some free time. While this is not the April break that many of us anticipated, it is a very necessary break for all and we encourage you to take as much time as you can to take a break. For those of you preferring or needing to keep a little routine in your week, the district is compiling and curating a collection of activities that families and students can access next week while on vacation. This will be on a new Google site and will be shared in a district communication this afternoon.
Take care and please reach out if you need us!
Kind Regards,
Stephanie, Jen and Cassandra

ANOTHER ROUND OF MATERIAL PICK UP - SAVE THE DATE!
On Thursday, April 30th we will have a window of time where more personal items and some school materials will be available for pick-up. As we get closer, we will highlight the specific grade or classes that will have items ready.
FROM OUR PBiS TEAM
We hope that the first weeks of remote learning have been smooth and that everybody is settling into new routines. Starting new routines can be tricky with our families and when challenges arise they can be difficult interruptions to student learning. In this newsletter, the Student Support Team at CCS wanted to include our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) practices that are effective in reinforcing positive behavior. Feel free to look through the attached links and resources and use anything you feel might be helpful to your family. Please also be sure to contact me, or Mike DiNicola by email if you have any questions/concerns (Links below).

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The impact of COVID-19 has touched every one of us in multiple ways, and while we are committed to supporting your children through this time, we are also aware that as caregivers it is important to care for your emotional well being before you can be available for your families.
To honor that, Tanya Vyhovsky, our school services clinician, and I will be facilitating a parent/caregiver group on Friday, May 1, 2020, at 7:45 am via a zoom meeting. This will be an opportunity to come together to ask questions, talk about what is working and what is not, provide resources, but most importantly give you an opportunity to connect with other families in our community who are feeling the same stress, so that we may support you on this difficult journey we are all walking together.
If you would like to join us, please click the link below to register, prior to April 29, 2020. As part of the registration, you will be asked to answer some questions so that we can gather some information to help make our time together as informative and supportive as possible. Once you register and complete the survey you will be emailed a link to our live meeting.
Register in advance for this meeting:

We look forward to spending time together, answering questions, and offering support in any way we can.
Be well,
Betsy Lloyd, CCS School Counselor
Tanya Vyhovsky, CCS School Services Clinician
