Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:
The District has developed nutrition guidelines and wellness goals for the school year 2015-2016 in consultation with the local school health advisory council and with involvement from representatives of the student body, school nutrition staff, school administration, the Board, parents, and the public.
Local wellness policies (LWP) are an important tool for parents and CEs to promote student wellness, prevent and reduce childhood obesity and provide assurance that SNP guidelines meet the minimum Federal standards.
There will be an assessment and follow up meeting in regards to goals set in previous meeting,at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at District Office, 12005 Forestgate Dr Suite 110
Dallas, TX 75243.
If you are willing to participate in the meeting please contact me via email,
Sincerely,
