Cooper School Announcements
Veterans Day Assembly
Thank you to all of our Cooper staff and families for helping to educate our students about the importance of honoring our United States Veterans and their families!
This year our very own speech and language therapist, Petty Officer Stacy Harris, was our guest speaker. Mrs. Harris shared about her experiences servicing in the U.S. Navy as an Ocean System Technician Analyst. We also had the privilege of honoring several family members of Cooper students who have served in the United States Armed Services.
American Education Week happens the week prior to the week of Thanksgiving. Each day of the week has its own theme, during which we celebrate our public school community.
Festivities honor the team of people who work in our nation’s public schools, everyone from the bus driver and classroom teacher to the cafeteria worker and administrative staff, plus countless others.
Join us for Family Day on Tuesday November 15, 2022
On this day, schools across the nation invite parents into the classroom to experience what the day is like for their child. At Cooper we invite parents and guardians to join us during the sessions listed below to enjoy a glimpse into your child's classroom experience!
Session 1: 9:30am-11:00am
Session 2: 1:30pm-3:00pm
The Board of Education and Administration are considering possible changes to our school starting times and ending times at all levels. We realize different grade levels have different needs. Please respond to all questions as they apply to your elementary school-aged child. The time changes listed in the survey questions are purely for gathering information and are not necessarily proposals for change. Please take a moment to complete the brief survey found at the following link: https://tejoin.com/scroll/906311536
Cooper is once again participating in the annual food drive hosted by Cherry Hill Township.
Bring your non-perishable food items to Cooper School by November 18, 2022 to help others in your community!
Click on the flyer for additional details.
Let's ROAR with Pride as we serve our community!

Construction on Greentree Road
Construction has begun on Greentree Road. We are in contact with officials from Camden County, and disruption to the school day should be minimal. However, please plan to leave a little extra time for your arrival in case there are additional traffic delays.
Tip of the Week: Small Wins Count
Life moves pretty fast and we’ve become accustomed to, and often expect, a quick fix. While it’s reasonable to expect Amazon to deliver the next day, it’s not realistic to expect your child’s new habits to develop overnight. Building new habits and making changes to routines takes patience, persistence, practice and time. When building new habits, incremental progress is the goal. It’s the small wins along the way that lead to bigger successes. As a simple example: If your child is only handing in 50% of their homework on time today and in a month, with focused effort, improves that rate to 60% and then 70%, that’s a significant positive change. Acknowledge and celebrate that success with your child and watch their confidence and intrinsic motivation begin to bloom.
