Wakeland Percussion
We are just two short weeks away from our final performance of “The Road to Make Believe”. We have two practices this week on Monday and Thursday from 5:00p-8:00p as we continue to polish!
This week we will begin playing with the concert bands during class on A Days for the upcoming winter concert on Dec. 7. Music will be passed out in class on Monday!!
These bands are assigned only by what period you are currently in and are not based off an audition. Your placement in a band for the Spring Concert Season will be determined on the Spring Band Placement Auditions Day on Nov. 29.
Some before and after school practices have been scheduled and are communicated via the website and the band portion of the Smore weekly email. You will only need to attend the rehearsals for the band that you are in. If you have questions about which band you are currently in please email Mr. Teed.

LONE STAR DRUMLINE CONTEST - Marauder Stadium
The Drumline’s final competitive performance is on Nov. 10 at Marauder Stadium located at Marcus High School. We do not have our time yet for this performance however this will be an all day event beginning after our Community Parade Performance that morning. As soon as our performance time is finalized an itinerary will be sent out to all members and parents.
We will be competing with a modified version of the marching show with some added flair to showcase certain sections and members of the Wakeland Percussion. Certain students will also compete in the solo portion of the contest taking place while other groups are competing at the stadium.
Feel free to reach out at any time via email: teedb@friscoisd.org!
Thank you,
Brian Teed
Wakeland Color Guard
I hope you all have enjoyed the weekend! Hard to believe we are over halfway through the first semester of school!
The guard has been hard at work learning our parade choreography! We look forward to another football game with the band at Senior Night this Friday.
For those interested in continuing into the winter guard season, clinics and auditions are held this week, in addition to registration and measurements on Thursday. The first rehearsal begins next Monday! Lastly, there is no rehearsal this upcoming Saturday. Audition information and forms can be found at our color guard website!
Wishing everyone a great week.
Thank you and have a GREAT week!
