Civilian Conservation Corps

During this time, young men were put to work to conserve our natural resources. If the goverment did not act fast, they feared crime rate would increase.
On the Job
These men worked hard out in the wilderness, some stayed ou there for long periods of time. Most lived in tents and worked all day.
Lunch Break
Over 1,800 recruits lined up for their mid-day lunch meal.
Living Conditions
These were the tents that the young men slept in, thousands slept in places like this compacted together.
