Note From The Director...
Dear Knight Families,
This is our last full week of the school year. This time of year is full of excitement and anticipation. The students feel it and so do the teachers. Everyone is excited about the neighborhood pool opening or family vacations that are just days away in some cases. Please help reinforce with your kids that there is still a lot to do these last few days and we must give it our all. Our character counts and we must all model this expectation for the students. We have some fun events planned for the next week and a half, but there is still classwork to finish too.

Medication Pick Up
Non-imperative medications (i.e. cough drops, ibuprofen, etc) may be picked up prior to the last day of school.
DCA Uniform Consignment Sale
Make plans to attend our annual Uniform Consignment Sale. This year's sale will be held on Tuesday, May 24th and Wednesday, May 25th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. This is a great time to buy for the 2022-2023 school year. We will also have uniform clothing for sale during our Meet The Teacher event just before the start of school (dates TBD).
Field Day
Field Day will be held on Thursday, May 19th. Below is the general schedule along with what students will need:
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
9:00 am - 10:30 am
Lunch 10:30 am - 11:30 am
3rd Grade - 5th Grade
10:30 am - 11:30 am
Lunch 11:30 am - 12:30 am
Students will need to bring lunch, snacks, and a water bottle that can easily be refilled. They may wear sports shorts and a sports shirt. Shorts must be fingertip length and no tank tops. Students are welcome to wear water shoes and bring a change of clothes/shoes to have on hand, if needed.
Important Note: Only approved volunteers will be allowed on campus to assist.
Volunteers Needed for Field Day - May 19th
The SignUp Genius link will be sent to approved volunteers early this week so be on the lookout.
If you aren't an approved volunteer and would like to be one, please see the information at the bottom of this newsletter on how to apply.
Kindergarten Celebration and End of Year Party
This year's Kindergarten Celebration and End of Year Party will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend.
The celebration begins at 10:00 am with an awards ceremony. Their end of year party will immediately follow at 11:00 am.
Students may wear their uniform or Sunday best.
1st - 4th Grade End of Year Parties
1st - 4th grade End Of Year parties will be held following Field Day on May 19th. More information will be coming from your student's teacher or Room Parent.

1st - 4th Grade Awards Ceremony
1st - 4th grade Award Ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, May 24th. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend. Below are the times for each grade:
1st Grade 8:30 am - 9:15 am
2nd Grade 9:30 am - 10:15 am
3rd and 4th Grade 10:30 am - 11:15 am
Students may wear their uniforms or Sunday Best.
Since we have limited parking, we ask that parents promptly depart following their student’s ceremony to allow room for newly arriving guests.
5th Grade Bridging Ceremony
The 5th Grade Bridging Ceremony will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 1:30 pm in the FCAC Upper Campus Gym.
Students may wear their uniform or Sunday Best. Students have the option to bring clothes to change into on campus. To assist with timing, lunch will be provided for all 5th grade students at 11:15 am.
Orthography Camp
The camp will be led by Mrs. Staats. Interested students may sign up here.
Mad Scientist Camp
The camp will be led by Ms. Staggs and Mrs. Lopez. Interested students may sign up here.
2022 FCAC and DCA Flag Football Summer Camp
June 13th - 17th
2nd - 5th grade: 8:00 - 9:30
6th - 8th grade: 9:30 - 11:00
9th - 12th grade: 11:00 - 12:30
Cost: $75.00

FCAC Summer Sports Camps
The Summer camp dates hosted by Founders Classical Academy Corinth are here! This Summer there will be three camp groups - 2nd-5th graders; 6th-8th graders; 9th-12th graders. Each camp will have a maximum of 20 campers to give the kids a lot of coaching and reps.

Attendance Reminders
A few reminders regarding school attendance:
- Email the Front Office at dcaattendance@responsiveed.com if you are going to be late or absent. The RES handbook states: "When a student must be absent from school, it is the parent’s responsibility to {notify} the school office each day to explain the reason for the student’s absence."
- Three consecutive absences must have a doctor's note to be excused. Notes may be presented to the Front Office, emailed, or faxed to (866) 919-5316.
- When pulling a student for a doctor's appointment, please email the front office of your student's campus at least 2 hours in advance of pickup time.
Please note: All students must be signed out by an authorized parent/contact. Please have your ID ready. The cut-off time for pickup is 2:55 p.m.

Each year our parents, grandparents, and other adults who wish to volunteer are required to submit their application to be a DCA volunteer. Once the background check is finished, we will inform you of your status. You may apply to be a DCA volunteer HERE.
