Panther Press
for the week of October 16th
Message from the Principal
Do not forget that October is our PTA membership drive. PTA will provide $250 towards the purchase of classroom materials to the teacher with the most over ten students who signup for PTA in the month of October. Make sure the students write your name on the back of the form. Forms are available in the teacher work room.
Mrs. Wallis began the first round of schedule changes on Friday. All 7th & 8th Grade teachers should have saved their grade book to a pdf once final grades were posted. Teachers will need these grades once schedules are changed. We have made a recommendation to the board but the new teacher will not be available until October 25th. We will make adjustments to students who are on our list that do not effect the elective class so these schedule changes will come in two waves. We apologize for this change in our original plan but there are some issues out of our control.
All teachers are required to have a substitute folder in their classroom complete with class rosters and emergency lessons. We understand that from time to time thing happen and a full blown lesson cannot be created to cover an absence so it is an imperative that emergency lessons are in the folder. We still have issues with finding enough substitutes and it really is not fair to any of your colleagues to have to create a lesson for your class when they end up having to cover.
Please ensure you are monitoring your kids in the lunchroom not only when they are at the table eating but also when they are going through the line.
Go Panthers!
