From the desk of Mrs. Anderson
I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! It is hard to believe that we are already in the month of April! Students in grades 3-6 will be taking the new statewide test called ILEARN beginning the week of April 22nd. Our students have been working diligently all year so I know they will be ready to show what they know!
I had the pleasure of having two principal assistants with me on March 20th! Annlee and Easton Conn won the silent auction prize for “Principal of the Day” during our carnival. They handed out positive referrals, helped during lunch duty, wrote notes to the teachers, plus many more activities! It was a fun day for all of us!
Our end of the year award programs are coming up in May so please mark your calendars. We hope to see you there!
Monday, May 20th 9:00 (1st and 2nd grade)
Tuesday, May 21st 9:00 (3rd, 4th, and 5th grade)
Wednesday, May 22nd 1:00 (6th grade)
As always, our goal is to Educate, Empower and Inspire our students each day!

Decatur Township Art Fair
The Decatur Student Art Show celebrates Youth Art Month with artwork from all schools, grades K-12, currently on display at the Decatur Township Library. Every student who participates in the art show is awarded a certificate. There will also be Principal Awards, Superintendent Awards, and Librarian Awards/gift cards. Community members are encouraged to visit the library to cast their vote for the People's Choice Award where students' names will be entered for a gift card drawing! The school district is #DecaturProud to continue this collaborative community art partnership with the Decatur Township Library since 2001.
