Try to Understand
It is more important than ever to educate yourself on mental health issues. You don't have to sit down and learn every disorder, however once encountering a difficult person, empathy and education is important. It doesn't give the individual a free ticket to cause problems, but at least you will have an understanding of where it comes from.
For example: Someone with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) "see themselves as always being the victim of other people. They are obsessed with control, and when BPD is combined with other mental health problems, they are the Energizer Bunny of emotional and physical bullying." http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/11/29/1251025/-Borderline-Personality-Disorder-Heroic-Martyr-or-Emotional-Vampire

Side note: Can't help but notice the word arsenic on Steven Grave's t-shirt. Things that make you go hmm.... :)
Shout Out!
We see you Colton and Steven. We see you Suzie and Granger Red & White. We see you and we appreciate you.
*Side note: Love to grill? Red & White can hook you up with some of the best bacon hamburger patties around. They also have seasoned pork, chicken, and beef ready for the pit. Fire it up!
Simply Put
Stigma is when someone, or you yourself, looks at you in a bad way because you have a mental health condition.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month ~ Stop the Stigma
Yoga
Meditation
Positive Thinking
Deep Breathing
Stress Management Technique:
Mindful Breathing: For 1-minute focus on your breathing. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. (Don't worry about the bad breathe. Just saying.) If your mind wonders, bring attention back to your breathing.
Nearly 50% of adults experience a mental health illness at some point in their lives.

Did You Know
May 14 Mother's Day
Something good to know if you are giving carnations for Mother's Day:
Pink and red carnations are given to mother’s that are still alive, while white ones are for those that have passed away.

Repeats Repeatedly Repeated
And still some will say they never knew...
Friendly Reminder: The end of the school year is quickly approaching. Don't let obligations surprise you. Has your student paid the lunch bill? Laptop insurance? Any other outstanding fines? Turned in or renewed library books? Given the teacher back what was borrowed? Ask your student to check with cafeteria, library, office, and teachers to make sure! Thank you for your understanding.
STUDENTS: Do not loan out your calculators, chargers, or laptops. You are responsible for their care and return. If you forgot yours, do not ask a classmate to borrow theirs. Remember yours. *TEST DATES: Remember your calculator. There are no extras in the library to borrow another one!
Dude. be nice
