Rotary Fall Mini-Grant Opportunity - Due October 28 - The Rotary Club of Livermore Valley invites you to submit an application for a mini-grant of approximately $300 - $1,000. Grants are awarded to support projects that help the youth of Livermore and local humanitarian or service projects. Application with instructions is attached. The application asks for but does not require a Rotary sponsor. Please contact Philomena Rambo (prambo@lvjusd.org) for more information.

GATE
We are accepting nominations for GATE testing for students in Grades 4-12. As goal setting conferences are scheduled the next two weeks, I've attached the forms for you to download and copy.
If you have a student you would like to nominate, please complete the Nomination Form and ask parents to complete the Permission to Test Form. Please return both forms to me by November 10th.
Please note that parents can also nominate their child to be tested. You can provide them with a copy of both forms or refer them to the district website athttp://livermoreschools.com (look under Schools, then under Programs).

KUDOS FROM FELLOW STAFF MEMBERS!
Stacy Kovisto - Stacy has run a fabulous student council program at our school and is willing to take on our 2016-2017 Student Council. Her program gave kids in student council a great leadership role and made our events student centered!
Teren Ruiz- She has done an amazing job taking on a new program and going above and beyond to serve other roles on campus, as well
Tracy Thurman she goes above and beyond as a school psych
Daena Nelson because she is such an awesome teacher and she is great at collaborating and working as a team.
Fenna Gatty has worked so hard to get classroom teachers the materials they need to teach new science standards. She is always working on grants to fund our school projects. I really appreciate how much effort she puts in to making science lessons engaging and meaningful!
Alicia Lemoine has worked incredibly hard to coordinate and plan an amazing GATE program for the 2016-2017 year.
Julie Janzen, Jo Ann Carey and Fenna Gatty for visiting Maker Spaces and Design Schools on the Peninsula.
