DREAMers Student Resource Center now Open @ Canada Library!
In response to a spring 2016 survey of undocumented/AB540 students conducted by the DREAMers Task Force at Cañada College the Library was identified by students as most comfortable space on-campus. Over the summer, library staff worked to establish a DREAM Center, a supportive space, primarily designed to serve the needs of undocumented students on campus. The center is equipped with a computer, a printer, and a quiet space for students to use when looking for information about the process of applying to college and receiving financial as an undocumented student. Additionally, librarian Marie Varelas has also created an online research guide for both faculty and students that seek information regarding undocumented students and need help with the college application process.
