TUESDAY, May 22nd-Mrs. Burnett's and Mrs West's math classes will be constructing their stellated icosahedra during the day. Students should have shared a letter with you regarding this project.
WEDNESDAY, May 23rd- Mrs. Seats' math classes will construct their stellated icosahedra during the day.
THURSDAY, May 24th- Mrs. Mathis' classes will construct their stellated icosahedra during the day.
Thursday, May 31st- 7th grade Crew-lympics.
Information will be coming your way via your child's CREW leader. We will need parent volunteers from around 8:30-11:30.
Friday, June 1st- 7th grade Awards Day! (Will begin around 8:30 am)
This will take place during the morning hours and in your child's CREW classroom.
8th grade TRIP- 2018-19
Hi Everyone,
I hope this finds you well! Thank you for attending our meeting regarding the educational trip that I am about to embark on with our students.
I’ve gotten a fantastic response so far and spots are filling up! After speaking to my Tour Consultant at EF, we were able to extend the deadline to enroll until next Wednesday, May 16th. With the end of the school year right around the corner, I wanted to give families the courtesy of one more opportunity to have the lowest monthly payment. All you need to enroll is $95.

Check out this awesome STEM opportunity from SC Governor's School for Science and Mathematics:
The SC Governor's School for Science and Mathematics is very excited to bring back their award-winning camp, iTEAMS XTREME Next Generation, to the Midlands! This year, the camp is open to rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders and will be held at Lexington Technology Center June 18-21, 2018 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily.

ELA: Book Club Post #2 on Google Classroom is due Tuesday for a formative grade; Reading Response Bingo Choice #2 due Friday. Bring your books to class!
Social Studies: Thank you to all the parents that have volunteered veterans to interview with our students. We appreciate your support in making this case study possible!
We ask all parents to make sure their kids dress nicely and professionally on May 21st for our veteran interviews. No gym shorts, t-shirts, or other casual attire. Collared shirts, dresses for the girls, nice pants are highly recommended. Thank you again for your assistance! If you have any clarifying questions, please contact your child's social studies teacher.

Social studies Cold War Retest will be offered in class on Monday May 14th and will be offered during lunch next week. The End of the Year SLO test will be given to 7th graders on May 17th. It will count as a summative grade.
Science: Students will work on packet #3 and #4 next week in class. This will count as a summative project grade. If students are not finished in class by the end of the week they will need to be finish them over the weekend.
