Important Health/Safety Updates for the 2021-2022 School Year!
All students are required to wear a mask or face covering throughout the day. Students will be able to remove their mask when outside and while eating lunch. If students have medical conditions that prevent them from wearing a mask properly or are unable to wear a mask due to their disability, please contact the school nurse for an accommodation. Ext, 228 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
All families must complete a Home Assessment for each student who is attending in-person learning every day before school. Do not send your student to school if any of the following are found during your student’s daily self assessment.
Shortness of breath
Muscle or body aches
Loss of taste or smell
Nausea or vomiting
Nasal congestion if any of the above symptoms are included
If your student has any of the above symptoms, do not send them to school and contact your medical care provider for further advice. In addition, please notify school staff at 303-360-0052 x300 (attendance line) that you are keeping your child home and what symptoms your child is experiencing.
During the school day, students will be encouraged to wash their hands frequently. Please practice proper hand washing at home by encouraging your children to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. In addition, we will have hand sanitizer regularly available for students.
Lastly, all students will have a temperature screening as they enter the building and school staff will be checking for symptoms. If your student has COVID-19 symptoms, they will be referred to the school's health professional (school nurse or health paraprofessional) for further assessment. The health professional will determine appropriate next steps. Please ensure that you have plans in place for you or a designated guardian to quickly pick up your student during the school day if needed.
If your student is new to combination locks, you can view this helpful video with him/her.
