Welcoming New Staff to Father Doyle School
As the school year quickly approaches, we're pleased to welcome two new (and one returning!) staff members to Father Doyle school. Mrs. Amador-Carrandi will be joining us as a K-8 Spanish instructor, as well as teaching 6th grade literature. In addition, Mrs. Warner will be joining the Father Doyle Community as our 1st grade teacher. Lastly, we're excited to welcome back Mrs. Black, as she will be returning for the 2022-2023 school year as our physical education teacher.
Please see the teacher & staff introductions below for more information about our newest staff members!
COVID-19 Protocols - 2022-2023 School Year
Since March of 2020, Father Doyle School has continually been challenged to meet the spiritual, academic, and social-emotional needs of our community amidst an ever-changing pandemic landscape. This was perhaps never truer than in the past academic year as we navigated dramatic shifts in masking policies, quarantine protocols, and more.
Now, as we look to the 2022-2023 school year, there is a sense that we have entered a “new normal” in which COVID-19, while still present, is better understood, and therefore more readily mitigated, contained, and treated. The plan attached below outlines the school’s COVID-19 protocols and procedures for the start of the 2022-2023 school year. It is a balance between the need to acknowledge the still-present risk of COVID-19 while also allowing for a return to more traditional ways of life within our school community.
As always, the plan is rooted in the latest guidance and data from the Rhode Island Department of Health and has been reviewed by Nurse Cioe and Fr. Woolley. Lastly, please know that, as with all COVID-19 protocols, the attached plan is subject to change due to shifts in data, research, and guidance in the weeks ahead.
Ultimately, I am looking forward to the upcoming school year with great anticipation. The Lord continues to do great things in our school community, and I cannot wait to see our classrooms once again bustling with students.
Be assured of my continued prayers for you and your families over these remaining weeks of the summer.
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin

Welcome to Our New Staff Members!
Mrs. Warner: 1st Grade
Ms. Cunningham has decided not to return to her position as 1st grade teacher at Father Doyle School, as she will be taking additional time to care for the needs of her family. We are so grateful for Ms. Cunningham's years of dedicated service to our school, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavors.
With this in mind, we are very excited to welcome Mrs. Warner to our school community. Mrs. Warner holds her certification in elementary education and received her B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from Salve Regina University. She brings over eighteen years of elementary classroom experience to the Father Doyle School community, including thirteen years of experience within the Diocese of Providence.
We're so excited to welcome Mrs. Warner to our school!
Mrs. Amador-Carrandi: Spanish/Literature
Mrs. Amador-Carrandi was born in Guernica, Spain and later moved to Alicante where she completed her undergraduate studies at Universitat D'Alacant prior to continuing graduate work at the University of Rhode Island. At URI, she earned a Master's Degree in English and Hispanic Literature. Since then, she has accrued over fifteen years of experience teaching Spanish across the grade levels in public, Catholic, and higher education settings.
She is so excited to have the opportunity to spread and nurture the love for Spanish culture and language in the next generation of students at Father Doyle School!
Please join us in welcoming her to the Father Doyle School community!
Mrs. Black: Physical Education
With this in mind, we are excited to welcome Mrs. Black back to Father Doyle School! Mrs. Black brings a unique expertise in physical education developed through her time serving as a child development teacher, coach, and YMCA program coordinator over the past fifteen years.
Welcome back, Mrs. Black! We're looking forward to a great year!
