Our New Template
What do you think of our newsletter design? Should add a bit of pizazz, huh?
Hope you all are well. We miss you terribly. Looking forward to seeing many of you in person. For those of you navigating school remotely, look for an email from the school district regarding computer distribution, if that news hasn't already arrived.
For many of you, we will be back in session on September 14 at our regular time...in person. And for some, we'll be learning remotely. Either way, we are prepared to take care of you.
For those of you needing additional information to begin this COVID school year, look for it next week. I will be sending another newsletter in a week's time to give you the absolute latest.
Upcoming Dates
School begins September 14 at 9:10AM-3:20.

Staffing and Class Assignments
Unfortunately, no Ice Cream Social is planned this year, no opportunity to meet teachers in advance is in the works, and kids will not see classrooms before that first day of school. Darn it!
Class assignments will be communicated near the end of next week as we get closer to our start date, via robocall and email.
But on Monday morning, September 14 we will be ready to see you for the first time in months—in person or on Zoom!
Social Distancing
Allow your kiddos to leave their classrooms and come around the front near the bus loop and flag pole. Please model social distancing for our young, impressionable students. Set a good example. Wait for them at an appropriate social distance. And please, wear your face coverings as well.
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
We'll share expectations for riding the bus, entering the building on a typical day, traveling the halls, and using the restroom appropriately.
We'll share expectations for the breakfast line, lunch line, and recess. When a kiddo knows what is expected of him/her, he/she typically rises to the occasion.
Thank you to our ASB leaders for planning, filming and editing our important teach-to videos.
Peaceful Playgrounds
We will not be using our new playground equipment just yet, however.
At Evergreen, our thoughtful, organized recess of the past has proven to be very effective in promoting collaborative play while minimizing inappropriate behaviors. After recess, kids are ready to rejoin class and learn without conflict.
Peaceful Playgrounds will only add to the fun and safety of our already-cool recess model.
