Robinson Middle Weekly Update
Week of December 5, 2022
Thank you to our Community School Manager, Ms. Metcalf for arranging the following:
Middlesex Community College will be on campus on Monday, December 5th to speak with our 5th graders, during Allied Arts.
We have held grade level assemblies with all students. We reinforced expectations around harassment, bullying and language. We will also share with students where they can find the bullying reporting form. Please reinforce with your student that we have a zero tolerance approach to all harassing language.

All families should have received an email about COVID-19 vaccination clinics being held by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Some of the local clinics previously advertised have been canceled. You can find the updated list of available clinics here: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/free-family-friendly-covid-19-vaccination-clinics
A $75 gift card will be offered to any Massachusetts resident (adult or child) who gets vaccinated (first dose, second dose, or booster) at any of the clinics listed in the link below, through December 31, 2022. Gift cards will be offered while supplies last. Children ages 6 months to 4 years can get the COVID-19 vaccine, and anyone age 5 years and older can get a COVID-19 vaccination or updated booster at these clinics, unless otherwise noted in the clinic schedule below. COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are free; no ID or health insurance is needed. Families are welcome! You do not need an appointment, but some clinics may encourage pre-registration.
Lowell Public Schools has prohibited use of cell phones in school. They are considered disruptive to the educational process in Lowell Public Schools and are not allowed in school. We have had an increases in student use of cell phones in school. We will be assigning detentions and then progressive disciplinary procedures for students using cell phones in school. In addition to the disruption to learning, there have been incidents of theft of cell phones at the school. We do not advise having them in school.
Our next PTO meeting is Tuesday, December 13, from 2:30-3:00, in the school library. Our next Site Council meeting is also on December 13, virtually, starting at 6:00pm, by google meet. The link is shared below.
Thank you to all families for your cooperation and patience with dismissal. By rerouting the cars/riders to the June St. parking lot, buses have clear access, students can more safely move about campus when dismissed and everyone is able to get out quickly after picking up students. We will continue to dismiss with this process. If you are dropping your student off or picking them up, please drive slowly and carefully while in the school complex.
Thank you all again for supporting a productive, successful week at Robinson.
Have a safe and happy weekend.
