Much love to all for engagement in our retreat and setting such focused intentions for 20-21. The image to the right is our "intention cloud" and hopefully will serve as a north star for us all as we navigate our way forward. Thanks to Molly for your work creating this awesome word cloud.

Teacher Newsletters:
Shout out to all the friends who helped prep info to share with our teachers. Please take time to review each newsletter and stay up to speed on what is being shared and what is happening. We know you are getting lots and lots of questions, one way to have answers is to be sure you are READING our team newsletter each week, the OLL Admin Communication and Teacher Newsletters. If you are getting questions you don't know the answers to, or lots of the same question- please, please reach out to us (Lea M., Sam or Leah H.) and let us know so we can assist or get answers if needed.
We will seek to have screencasts similar to what you see in Elementary Science and Math for all content areas...let us know if you need assistance in developing, but these will be REQUIRED for the launch of the year, so if you have a moment- I suggest stealing a few minutes to make one.

Important note: We know during these uncertain times there are a lot of personal opinions and information being shared on social media related to reopening and work that many of us are overseeing. While it is totally understandable why we read and tune into these posts, it can also cause a lot of unneeded stress and frustration. Take time to think about how reading all of this information is affecting you and if you feel it is taking a negative toll or causing stress we recommend you take a break from reading or engaging in this communication. We know how much is on your plates and want to ensure you know you are supported and taking care of yourselves each day. Feel free to reach out to Lea, Leah or Samantha if you need any support.
New Teacher Induction
NTI is ALL virtual!!! We feel that it is imperative to still make all of our new teachers feel welcome, so we are going to host a "We've Got Your Back, Come Get Your Pack!" event on Thursday, July 23rd from 8:00am-5:00pm. The event flyer is attached for more information.
Our plan is to celebrate and start making connections the best way we can. We will have music, balloons, and a bag of goodies that they will need for Induction. We need your help! Please sign up for a two hour time slot to support us with traffic, putting bags in trunks, and checking names off our registration list. The pick up zone will be in front of building two. We will putting all of these bags together on Wednesday, July 22nd. If you have a moment to spare (lol!) please sign up for a time on Wednesday too. We will be in building 2, collaboration room.

Thank you for all that you do and supporting new teachers!
Together We Learn
Together We Learn will take place July 27-29. We have over 1400 people registered, woohoo! PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO ANY AND ALL INFO FROM VAUGHNETTE AND TEAM! It takes every single one of us to pull off these huge event. Please stay engaged, stay informed, stay on top of it!
Building 2 and 3: OLL Office Sign-Up
As a reminder, it is expected that you sign up and support the team in ensuring coverage of the office areas and phones. Use this spreadsheet to sign up to assist us in tracking who will be signing up as well as keeping it to 10 people or less overall in each building. If you are currently unable, due to underlying conditions or risk factors or are feeling uncomfortable with a return to work, even with masks and appropriate social distancing, please email Lea Mitchell. If you have already emailed her and expressed your return needs, no need to do it again.
We are working through assignment locations, desk arrangements, etc. as we prepare to be fully back into working routines, more to come soon, but we suggest that you acquire masks that are comfortable for you. Hand sanitizing stations have been installed and there will be regular access to hand sanitizer in all common areas and locations.
We are working to ensure that cleaning supplies are also readily available in common areas so that each user is able to ensure the space is sanitized prior to use (think copy machines, microwaves, etc.).
ReOpening Curriculum Contract Process and Procedures- PLEASE READ
- Please access this document to review the process and enter the information for your contracts into the spreadsheet provided
- Once you have contracts signed by the contractee and yourself please bring (in-person) printed copies of contracts to Angie's Office and put in the CONTRACT BIN in the folder for your area.
- If you must email, (not preferred) please collect ALL contracts for your area, get them signed and zip them into a singular folder and email to Angie with the subject line- ReOpening Contracts Included.
We have hundreds of contracts happening across the department and it is super important that we stay organized and efficient to ensure everything ends up in one place at one time for a thorough review and cross check. Samantha and Lea will review all contracts against the spreadsheet and ask that all contracts be completed and submitted by 7/31/2020.
During individual and/or team check-ins we will review the status of the contracted work and when work is completed, we will submit contracts for payment. Please don't hesitate to reach out to Lea or Samantha with any ReOpening contract questions.
