Activity Highlight: STUDENT COUNCIL
Berea-Midpark's Student Council is open to all students wanting to participate in enhancing and improving the Titan school climate. Student Council has been meeting and preparing for the 2019 Homecoming Dance since last winter. The theme for this year's dance will be Hollywood and will be held on Saturday, October 19th, from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. in the BMHS Sports Center. Tickets will be $20.00 each. We are always looking for new members and need help with decorating ideas and planning for the homecoming pep-rally. Please join us Thursdays after school in Room 227. Student Council is run by students and everyone who participates has a voice. We look forward to having you join our group. See Mr. Meyer with any questions.
PRIDE presents "To Write Love On Her Arms"
PRIDE is holding an after school mental health awareness program, "To Write Love On Her Arms", Wednesday, September 25th, at 2:30 in the BMHS Library. All are invited as BMHS student, Hannah Spence, presents her Civics project on this important topic.
Ninth and Eleventh Grade Vision/Hearing Screenings
Vision and hearing screenings will be conducted by our SWGHC Clinic Staff for all Freshmen and Juniors on Monday, September 30th and Tuesday, October 1st. If your child passes the vision/hearing screening, you will not be contacted by the school nurse. A vision or hearing screening provides only a snapshot of how your child performs on the day the test was administered and is not a substitute for a complete eye exam by an optometrist or ophthalmologist or hearing test by an audiologist. If your child fails any screening, you will be informed of the test results. Please direct any questions to the school nurse at 216-267-2079.
Recycle your old Markers!
Last year BMHS collected over fourteen pounds of used markers which were sent to Crayola for recycling. The program will continue this school year. You can turn your markers into the box in the BMHS Main Office during the hours of 7:00 to 3:00 P.M. ALL MARKERS ARE WELCOMED, EVEN DRY-ERASE!
Homecoming
The Homecoming football game is Friday, October 18th at 7:00 at BW Finnie Stadium. The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. The doors will open at 6:30 P.M. Mandatory breathalyzer testing will be administered to everyone who enters the dance. Tickets will go on sale two weeks prior to the dance in the Activities Office. Each ticket will cost $20.00 including guests. All BMHS students attending the dance must have the Infinite Campus Online Registration completed along with the Final Forms Emergency Medical Form. Guest dance forms, for a guest who does NOT attend BMHS, are now available on the Activities Office Wall and must be completed, with all required signatures and presented at the time tickets are purchased. All BMHS student fees/fines must also be paid from the previous school year prior to purchasing any dance ticket.
Academic and Service Pin Applications
The Academic and Service Pin Applications are available on the Activities Office wall and online on the Activities page of the BMHS website. The Academic Pin Application is due April 3, 2020 and the Service Pin Application is due April 9, 2020. NO late applications will be accepted.
