This month, Santa Cruz County's Gear Up program took 8th graders from Coatimundi and Calabasas to the University of Arizona for a career exploration workshop. The workshop was designed to help students learn how to pick a college major. U of A students shared their career paths and middle school students had an opportunity to ask questions and tour the campus.

Rio Rico High School's Hawk Theatre Company Presents....
“Dear Diary: My teen angst nonsense now has a body count.”
The Hawk Theatre Company proudly presents Heathers: The Musical: Teen Edition, an iconic dark-comedy centered around the outlandish high school life of Veronica Sawyer.
Showtimes begin each evening at 6:30 pm, March 30th, 31st, and April 1st at the Rio Rico High School Performing Arts Center. Doors will open 20 minutes before each performance. Students and all general admissions will be $5. Tickets for Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District 35 staff/faculty are free. MID-HI Art Show 2023
This year, the Tubac Center of Art will host its annual Mid Art Show and Hi Art Show simultaneously. The show will run from April 7th through May 28th, with an opening on April 7th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. This year’s show will include twenty pieces of middle and upper-elementary school art and a body of work from Rio Rico High School. Learn More
NJHS Community Help Initiative at CtMS
The CtMS National Junior Honor Society, under the guidance of NJHS Advisor, Claudia St. Clair, started an initiative to help community members in need of clothing items. Members of the club reached out to community organizations and individuals for donations. Some of the community partners include Stewart Title and Trust, Officer Cordova Foundation, and Rio Rico Community Center.
