Media Center Hours

M - 7:10am - 3:15pm

Tu - 7:10am - 2:15pm

W - 7:10am - 3:15pm

Th - 7:10am - 2:15pm

F - 7:10am - 2:15pm

*Hours subject to change - please check the

Media Center Calendar for posted changes.


Students MUST have STUDENT IDs to enter Media Center before school, after school and during Blocks 3 and 4. Your Student ID will be scanned.


Grade 9 and 10 students must also have an ADVISORY PASS during Block 3.

MHSS Media Center Philosophy and Mission Statement

Middletown Township District Library Media Program Philosophy



The Middletown Township Public Schools Library Media Program seeks to create a learning hub that empowers students with the tools and opportunities they will need for success as informed and responsible citizens of the 21st century. The certified library media specialists will provide an engaging environment that offers equitable access to print and digital resources. In alignment with AASL (American Association of School Librarians) guidelines, “the school library media specialists empowers students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information”.


The certified library media specialist will promote information literacy, creativity and an appreciation of literature so that students may function as lifelong learners in our global society.


Mission Statement


The mission of the Library Media Program of the Middletown Township Public Schools is:

  • To provide a welcoming participatory environment that embraces diversity, innovation and respect for self and others;

  • To empower our students to responsibly and effectively leverage information and technology in order to solve authentic problems and participate in a global community;

  • To challenge and prepare learners to become efficient, effective and ethical users and creators of information and technology;

  • To establish clear guidelines for the skills, knowledge and approaches they need to succeed in the digital age;

  • To be rich in resource materials in varied formats that encourage inquiry, acquisition of knowledge and critical thinking.
