News from Mrs. Briegel
Dear Wegienka Families,
Administrators and teachers everywhere recognize the important contributions parents make toward a child’s success in school. There is no question about it-success at school begins at home. Parents are the single most important variable in a child’s schooling.
One of the most important components of a good school is the partnership between the school and parents who work together for the best interest of children. The close partnership between home and school is one of the exceptional strengths of Wegienka Elementary School.
Wegienka Elementary has a strong tradition of supportive, hard-working parents. Throughout the year, parents have the opportunity to develop that partnership in a wide variety of ways. Parents join the PTO, volunteer in the classroom, help at the carnival, attend field trips, are a Motor Mom or Dad, read to their children and help in many other ways. By being involved, your child realizes you think his or her school is important.
As we work together during the year, I invite you to stay in contact and let me know how you and your youngster(s) are experiencing school. There will be many opportunities for contact with me, please don’t hesitate or ever think your comment or concern is unimportant. Through team work, open communication, and a dedication to continuous improvement, we can make this school a place children delight in and enjoy learning.
We look forward to working together as partners in learning.
Warm Regards,
Michelle Briegel

A few reminders as you get costumes together:
1. Students may not bring fake weapons to the event.
2. Masks may be worn by students that are not too gruesome.
3. Parents are welcome to dress up; however no adult masks.
Halloween Day at Wegienka:
It is Orange and Black Day! We do not wear costumes to school this day. Classroom teachers will communicate with you about their needs for parties. We have many allergies in the building.
