PTO has partnered with FBISD’s Shared Dreams program to help collect old, dirty, used, ugly shoes! These shoes will be bought by a vendor who will pay Shared Dreams $0.45/pound; the money will then be used to buy new shoes for kids in need throughout FBISD. Students may drop off shoes in collection bins.
*If possible, please place a rubber band around each pair of shoes.
When: January 21-31
Where: Travis High School. Collection bins will be located in the front hallway and near the bus ramp.

Counseling Office
2nd FBISD Elementary College and Career Fair
It will be an empowering day for our elementary students at Mission Glen Elementary School. Being able to “equip” and “inspire” ALL students at a young age regarding their future is something I hold dear to my current profession. I along with the counselor at Mission Glen will host the 2nd FBISD Elementary College and Career Fair. Colleges and Career pathways that will be in attendance are:
Colleges: University of Texas at Austin
University of Houston
Texas A&M- Texarkana
Wharton County Junior College
Career Pathways: THS HOSA (Health Occupations Student Association)
THS JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps)
FBISD CTE Cosmetology Dept.
I will be sending the list of students who will be accompanying me to this event on Friday, January 17, 2020 and a reminder on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. All students on that list will report to the commons at 7:30 am on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. The students will know to come as well. I will take attendance and provide to the attendance clerks. The students will be responsible for completing and returning any work missed. If you have any questions, please contact me.
