Meet the Coaches Night For Spring Sports

Meet The Coaches Night for spring sports will be on Thursday, February 18th at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Try-out packets are available in the activities office. The night will consists of turning in paperwork, eligibility requirements, team expectations/commitments and try-out information. Spring sports include: B/G Track, baseball, G Soccer, B Volleyball, B Tennis, B Golf and G Lacrosse (new this year).


Necessary Paperwork: Physical, ImPact test, 3-1 insurance form, Activities Handbook


Impact Testing dates are February 18th, 4pm-6pm and February 22nd, 3:30pm-5:30pm in room 35. (baseball, volleyball, G Soccer, G Lacrosse & pole vault)

Winter Guard Places 1st at WGI Regionals

The Howell North Winter Guard traveled to Blue Valley West High School this past weekend to compete at the Winter Guard International (WGI) Kansas City Regional. This competition was one qualifier for the WGI World Championships to be held in Dayton, OH later this Spring. The winter guard held onto first place from prelims to finals and was named the Scholastic Open Champion with a score of 68.8. The FHN guard is a 3 time WGI World Championships Finalist and will continue their journey to World Championships this weekend in Indianapolis, IN at the WGI Indianapolis Regional.

Teens Advocating Smart Choices

Our TASC students spreading the word to "Stop Heroin." These students attack many topics throughout the year, including alcohol, suicide and bullying. TASC also organizes our spring pre-prom assembly. Interested in joining TASC, contact the FHN nurses for more information.

FHN Annual Choir Dinner Concert

On Friday, February 12th and Saturday February 13th, the FHN vocal music department held their annual dinner concert, "An Evening of Broadway and Movie Musicals." The music consisted of performances by the various choirs at FHN, as well as individual solos, duets and small groups. Over 300 guests from the Howell North community were treated to a night of great food provided by Manhattan Catering, and musical theater performances from our very talented students at FHN.

Austine Pauley To Be Inducted Into the St. Charles Amateur Hall of Fame

Austine will be inducted on Saturday, March 19th into the St. Charles Amateur Hall of Fame. She is a member of the FHN basketball 1000 point club. She was selected to the All-State softball team this year. Austine has played varsity softball and basketball all four years, earning 8 varsity letters. Austine has committed to play softball at Lindenwood University.

Girls' Lacrosse added to Spring '16

Francis Howell North has added Girls' Lacrosse to the 2016 spring season. Lacrosse is a school sponsored sport. Try-outs begin on Monday, February 29th. Interested students must have all paperwork completed to try-out, including a physical and Impact test. Paperwork is available in the activities office and online at www.fhnknights.org . Schedules are posted on the website. The season will mostly consist of a JV schedule with a few varsity games. The lacrosse program will be competing in post-season play.

MSHSAA Summer Dead Period

The MSHSAA Summer Dead Period will be July 2-10, 2016. The dead period includes athletics and activities. The summer dead period is designed to give students a break and help families plan vacations. Summer camp dates will be released in March.
