2022-2023 Intersession Dates
Our school year calendar includes Intersessions. These take place in the fall, spring and summer to support and improve the academic achievement of all students. Students who attend will receive individualized instruction tailored to their specific needs.
Fall: October 10th -October 14th, 2022
Spring: February 13th - 17th, 2023
Summer: June 14th - July 14th, 2023
For more information, please schedule a meeting with an administrator at 513-684-0777
How will Intersessions work?
The Elementary and Middle school buildings will offer their own Intersession and communicate with parents about what subjects are being offered.
Who should attend?
Students selected will attend if they:
have skill deficits identified by a universal screener, standardized test results, formative assessments, or subject failure.
need accelerations to improve performance on assessments and boost current semester grades.
would like to have enrichment through curriculum extension
Students will receive invitations for specific sessions. Our campuses will analyze data to determine student session invitations. Once students have received their invites and confirmed their attendance, their teachers will use the student's data to create specific lessons tailored to their academic needs.
Benefits of Intersessions
Extra Academic Support
Intersessions are brief breaks throughout the school year for extra academic support.
Intersessions are strategically scheduled to provide intervention, enrichment, and accelerations following a grading cycle, rather than delaying these experiences until the summer.
Immediate Recovery Opportunity
For intervention, the ability to provide students with these more immediate recovery opportunities will reduce the likelihood of compounding knowledge gaps when new grade level content is presented and students do not possess the requisite skills.
Address "Summer Slide"
Intersessions will help manage the long-term impact of COVID-19.
Intersessions provide intervention, enrichment, and acceleration opportunities.
