Our Week in Review
The students were very busy this week learning all about the moon in Science, math strategies and fact triangles in math, and main idea in reading. We began "Math Talks" for our problems of the day this week and the students did an awesome job of problem solving with their buddies. We have also continued writing first, next, finally in our narrative writings.
MVP Student of the Week
Rhonny was our Student of the Week and Calendar Captain. Some cool facts about Rhonny is that she runs track, can do a handstand, and she wants to be a pilot when she grows up.
Class of 2028!
The entire first grade in their new class shirts.
Pick of the Patch
Ms. Kim made this awesome bulletin board for us. The little pumpkins are the students' How to Carve a Pumpkin shape books.
A Look Ahead
Next week will be full of end of quarter testing in reading, math, and writing. On Wednesday, we will have our in-house Diamond Del field trip. Friday is our school Pink Out. We will focus on phases of the moon in Science and will even make moon rocks!
Please look for two upcoming Sign Up Genius emails for our Fall Celebration Day and to sign up for 1st quarter parent conferences.
