Morning Arrival Notes
Front Doors: If you are late, please walk your child in to the front office and check them in. Do not send your children through the front doors alone at any time.
On time: Either stay in the car rider line to drop them off or park and walk with them across the crosswalk. Do not ever send them across a parking lot or crosswalk on their own.
Late: Park and walk them into the front office to check them in.
Parking: Please do not use the accessible parking spaces if you do not have an appropriate card or tag. You may receive a ticket for this even if you are "just running in" or waiting in your car. Please be mindful of our families who do need the use of these spaces.
Thank you so much for helping us manage the students and transportation in a safe, courteous, and effective manner!
Afternoon Dismissal Notes
Also, see Info sheet below - page 1
Change of transportation: Please email to lonestartransit@misd.org. Include your child's first & last name, grade level, and teacher. You may want to cc your child's teacher so they are aware. If you choose to email or Class Dojo your child's teacher, that is fine BUT you still must alert the front office in this manner.
Bus Routes: After the first two days of school, bus routes will run more quickly in the afternoon. Our drivers are taking great care to make sure they know your child and their correct stop. Once the routine sets in, you will see them come home about the same time each day. Check Infofinder on our District website for an approximate delivery time.
Car Rider: Please stay in the line unless you are asked to pull up and park. Do not swing out to pass once you have your child. Please be patient. Our car rider line runs quickly, and just like buses, will speed up once we settle into the routine with the children.
Walk Ups: Parents of PK, K, 1st will need to show their card until we are comfortable releasing them as we do the 2nd-5th graders. Please listen quietly without sidebar conversation. It is overwhelming for our little ones, and we need your help.
All Walk Up Parents: Please collect your children and then quickly exit. We wait to start car rider until we do not have parents & children on the sidewalk. Keep an eye on younger siblings for everyone's safety.

Lunch Visitors
Parents, you are always welcome to enjoy lunch with your child! This is a special time for both of you!
When you come to our school, please help us by following these procedures:
2. Eating with your child at the Visitors' Tables (the white ones at the front of the cafeteria.) Guests may not eat at the class lunch table.
3. Do not bring or offer food to other children. Do not invite other children to join you at the table.
4. Please exit 5 minutes before your child's lunch is over so they may join their class at their table.
5. Visitors are not allowed at recess. (Watch DOGS may be seen at recess as part of their daily schedule)
From time to time we will experience lunch schedule changes due to events at our school. We will inform you of these ahead of time and typically request that we have no visitors on those days due to the logistics of changing schedules. If you have extenuating circumstances, however, please reach out to Dr. Bartlett. We understand that sometimes grandparents can only come on that particular day, etc. Thank you!
