FBISD Community Advisory Team (CAT)
Be the voice your community needs by serving on a FBISD Community Advisory Team (CAT). The Fort Bend ISD (FBISD) Department of Collaborative Communities is creating CATs to provide guidance on the diverse needs of each feeder pattern across the District.
The CATs will discuss and seek feedback on key topics that align with District goals and objectives. CATs will also serve in an advisory capacity to help identify gaps in resources needed to support student learning and development and inform the District’s strategic efforts to address student and community needs.
If you are interested in serving on a Community Advisory Team, please apply using the following link(s):

Class Placement Recommendations for the 2021/2022 School Year – Not required
As we approach the end of this academic year, planning is already underway for 2021-2022. One of the most important tasks in preparing for the next school year is building classes and determining the placement of students. This requires a great amount of time and thoughtful consideration of each individual child’s needs. Coordinated collaboration among staff members plays an important role in the creation of classes. We assure you that we are committed to creating well-balanced groups that are, by intention, designed to ensure the success of every student.
The process for determining placement involves classroom and special program teachers, our counselor, and the administrative team. In addition, parents are always given the opportunity to provide a special "lens" into their child’s specific needs. Although completing this form is not a requirement, we welcome your feedback.
Survey will be open until May 7, 2021.
Free Virtual STEM Night
Hello parents,
The STEM Without Boundaries Houston STEM Night is going virtual this year. This event has numerous STEM organizations attending including DynaMIT, EWB @RICE University, National Academy of Engineering and Association of Women in Science. Students will get to learn about STEM careers, watch live demos, and participate in STEM challenges. There are no costs for attending the event, and all students from K-6th grade are welcome! Attached below is the flyer and sign up form.
School Pictures
If you purchased spring pictures of your student on either our first picture day or the makeup session, please come by the school to collect them. The front office will be open anytime for photo pickup, Monday - Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
When you come to the front door, ring the doorbell, and tell the front office your student's name, grade, and teacher. We will then bring the pictures out to you.

Colony Meadows Auction!
We are so excited about our Spring Fun Events & Auction that starts May 3rd (5pm)! The tradition continues, despite our non-traditional year!
Our online auction will be open for 1 week (5/3/21-5/10/21), so please keep checking back on items you bid on during this time. We have several new events, so make sure you look through all of our items. You will notice that some items will be a capped flat rate, like our faculty events, and others are classic bidding so they will continue until the auction and bidding ends at 5pm on the 10th. Please be sure to check the descriptions to double check whether it's a capped flat rate item or a bidding item.
Unfortunately, no refunds will be given for events that cannot be attended. If you have any questions, please contact our Fundraising Co-Chairs Nyla Ismail or Rachel Smith at fundraising@cmepto.org.
Teacher Appreciation Week - May 3rd-7th
CME will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week from May 3rd-7th. We are asking students to write a poem or short essay (two to three paragraphs) honoring a specific teacher or appreciation for teachers in general, then record it on FlipGrid in the Library course in Schoology. One student will be selected to be featured in KGRR every morning during Teacher Appreciation Week. Please submit all entries by Saturday, May 1st.
Please encourage your child to participate and shower our amazing teachers with kind words. Let us remind our teachers the reasons they do what they do and how big a part they play in shaping our children's lives.
Your child is not big on writing? That is ok! We are also looking for awesome artists to make posters that we can display at our teacher appreciation events throughout the week. Let's show them some love!! Please drop off all posters at the front office by Monday, May 3rd.
