Ashwood Cemetery (across the street from Tufts Library)
36 Broad Street, Weymouth, MA 02188
John Gillion was a 10 year old Surgeon's Assistant and Drummer Boy at the Battle of Waterloo in 1814. John survived that day and moved to Weymouth where he lived most of his life. He is buried with his wife, here in Weymouth.
After the Pipes play, the wreath is laid, words spoken, and our anthems echoes are gone, there will be an informational reception across the street at Tufts.

Maria Weston Chapman Middle School: MWC Basketball
Submitted by MWC Basketball Coach Ally Reynolds:
"Our middle school basketball program at Chapman consists of 4 teams. 2 girls teams and 2 boys teams, the teams are split evenly by ability. Our teams consist of 6th through 8th graders. The athletes play 2 competitive, organized basketball games a week against other schools in the Bay State conference, which is the same conference our High School competes in, so it is a great learning experience for what high school will be like. We have 5 away games where we travel to these other schools and 6 home games. The players are committed to their team and do a nice job of working hard and supporting each other. It also allows them to play alongside other kids in the school who may not be in their grade which allows for more meaningful friendships to be made. The coaches are myself- Ally Reynolds (Health & PE teacher), Michael O'dea (6th grade teacher), Ryan Hatfield (School Psychologist) and Darius Jette (MWC Security). The kids also get to make connections with adults in the building that they may not get to see otherwise. It's an awesome experience for everyone!"
Seach School was honored to have Artist in Residence David Fichter work with students, staff and community members to create a true work of art that reflects the diversity and inclusivity of Seach School.

Weymouth HIgh Schools: Weymouth Rotary Interact Club
WE ARE CHANGING THE WORLD!
Weymouth Rotary Interact Club held a 30 hour famine fundraising event.
They used the proceeds to donate $100 to the Weymouth Food Pantry and $400 to community projects in third world countries in need. The projects included clean water for a village, healthcare for women and children, and fighting diseases with vaccines. They also bought rabbits, ducks, an alpaca and chickens to help end hunger and poverty around the world by providing livestock, eggs and protein for nourishment. These items boost income through sales of eggs and offspring and ensure security for generations through passing on the gift. The Advisor for Weymouth Rotary Interact Club is WHS Teacher Melinda Mahar.
