Perspective was Friday’s topic this morning as a part of our Anchored In Success program.

This program is designed to address the habits of success with all Mariners. During an extended home room, one Friday per month, we will address each positive habit and share our ideas. Students discussed how their individual views fit with those around them and the role social media plays in our views. A video was shown and discussion questions followed. We will continue this program next month with the theme: Be Present.

Powerpuff is back! Come see our Junior girls take on our Senior girls in a game of flag football. The game will be held on Tuesday evening, November 23rd at 6:00pm on the turf. Tickets will be available at the gate for $5.00. See you there!

We've extended the lending period of books from three weeks to one month; your child can reach out to me via email ( to renew books he/she hasn't yet finished.

Chromebooks: please charge those Chromebooks overnight! While we do have a limited number of emergency loaner Chromebooks, those emergency loaners aren't covered by the Chromebook insurance. The replacement fee for a Chromebook is $225; the cost to replace a screen is $50. You will receive an email if your child has not returned an emergency loaner Chromebook.

The Guidance Department must have the following:

1) A yellow TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM, from every senior student, so the Guidance Department can send your documents to your college applications.

2) A GREEN SHEET-College Checklist for EVERY SINGLE college you apply to.

Without these items your college applications may be delayed and deadlines may be missed.

Each year we have visits from many colleges, universities, and technical schools. These recruiters meet with interested students in Guidance and speak about their school and answer any questions that our students may have. If interested in a particular school, students should see Mrs. Rose in Guidance to sign up. A list is regularly updated on our school website, . Click the Guidance tab to access.

There are new scholarships posted to the HS North Guidance Scholarship page:

Check the site often as new scholarships will be added as they are sent to us. The more you apply to, the more money you can earn. PAY ATTENTION TO DEADLINES. Contact your counselor with any questions.
